Line-level tone generator notes
Voltage Divider -> Voltage Follower
- If Vi = +9V then R1 = 800 and R2 = 100 to produce +1V at Vo
- Vi is meant to be replaced with a square wave voltage pulse source from an astable 555 timer circuit
- Vo will be a steady +1V no matter what kinds of resistances are attached to it
- + audio connects to the op-amp output, - audio
connects to GND (0V)
- (Vo/Vi) = (R2/(R1+R2))
- Only works for signals above GND, no AC
- Adjust R1 and R2 for appropriate division of Vi. If Vi = 7.5 then R1 would be 650
and R2 would be 100
- To add volume adjustment, put a pot in series with R2 (betwen the op-amp and GND).
Increasing resistance would increase volume
